Prizes, Commemorations, Programs On The International Museum Day
CELEBRATION
Though the Museum Day Festival was celebrated a day earlier due to the Pentecost weekend, but the programs were just as successful as during the previous occasions. Programs nationwide.

In the town of Győr the inauguration of the bust of museum founder Flóris Rómer indicated the start of the festival. In Tatabánya a concert performed by the Ferenc Erkel Music School at the Town Museum celebrated the special day, followed by an exhibition of photographer István Dalos titled Tatabánya In Times Past And Today.
In Hódmezővásárhely the curators of the János Tornyai Museum met the public in the street. Special programs and guided tours waited the people in front of the museum: pottery-puzzle, Neolithic body painting and dress designing, the garbling of mingled museum objects.
In Mosonmagyaróvár the outdoor statue of writer Tibor Gyurkovics was inaugurated at 4 p.m. The prize established by the museum was awarded to Géza Moldoványi Géza, the chairman of the Mosonmagyaróvár Széchenyi Civil Circle for the outstanding support of the museum. After the celebration a special exhibition was opened presenting 19-20th century Chinese scroll pictures and black ink paintings. The exposition is a selection of the Imre Patkó Collection, completed by porcelain, bone carvings and lacque-works
