The Bible Illuminates Art
Old Testament Highlights

The Bible has long been a source of profound inspiration for artists, especially the Old Masters. Join us this autumn as we examine the rich colection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest and study highlights from the Old Testament narratives. The Bible Illuminates Art will deepen your appreciation of these works as we study the background, style, influences and innovations of individual artists while considering the paintings’ subject matter.
